Description
Motion sensors are incredibly complex in structure of the device. Mathematical processing of the received information is realized in the sensor by means of complex algorithms and programs. One of the most complex elements of the sensor is its lens, known as the Fresnel lens. The network of lens cells is molded one-time on a thin plastic in a special shape. Mathematical calculation of the lens can take years. The main struggle in creating an IR sensor is to compensate for false positives in any of their manifestations. False positives occur due to rattling of the sensor contacts, light flashes, temperature fluctuations, vibrations, incorrect analysis of the infrared environment of the room, etc. The causes of false positives are incredibly many and the struggle with each of them complicates and increases the cost of the sensor design. False positives caused the majority of thefts because after the third false alarm, The authorities ceased to react to alarms while skipping the real alarm. At the same time, it is impossible to say that cheap and reliable sensors do not exist. Many security organizations still find a middle ground.
I would also like to note that most implementers of security systems recommend the equipment to which they are already accustomed, while completely ignoring modern technologies and novelties.
